Washington DC Report
The event was the Easter egg roll at the White House a tradition which brings thousands of families and children to the White House lawn. However, this year the sodomites wanted to join as normal families and hence, our marching orders. Doug and I arrived in Washington Saturday morning on Easter weekend and scouted the place out for Sunday and Monday.
Sunday morning we preached an Easter message in front of the Washington National Cathedral at 7AM and I had a chance to speak to the minister regarding what does the resurrection have to do with new dresses/shoes/candy and colored eggs.He told me, “I hope I (he) was not a false teacher?”……metro police were called in but watched and never got involved. The next service we preached at was around DuPont Circle (the sodomite area in D.C.) and we stood in front of Methodist Church at 9AM (which had a sodomite flag waving and a large sign “All are welcomed”), so we were invited. We preached to the congregation and one young man stood outside asking questions, walked inside, than came back out and told us that he had just removed himself from that church.Would John Wesley be welcomed here was my main question for the day.One minister told me, “I really don’t know.”
After that sidewalk service, we met Michael from Virginia Beach at our 11AM service, which was another sodomite church (Presbyterian) which had the same flag and sign outside the church. We preached and had great conversations, one older fellow, told me that he does not come to church often, but would not come back to that church if homosexuals spoke from the pulpit.
Doug and Michael went to preach on the lawn at the mall, while I drove to two airports to get two more men (RevJK-Miami, Zack-Atlanta) and we spent the rest of the day at the mall.Brother Ben from Atlanta came in later that evening.
At 7AM on Monday we were ready to do what we came to do.Once we walked into the park across from the White House, we were confronted by feds that wanted to know what we were going to do.They checked my ID and asked if we were going to use any amplification, I said “yes” and they said we can go.There were two men that had seen me in Boston, New York and Washington, so we were considered a friendly. About 30 minutes into our set up, we were told by park police that we could not stand in the area we were at and we needed to move.I was pointed to an area, where we could stand and I complied. This is one of those times where you don’t argue “it’s my right to stand here” and this is one of those times where God has used city/state/event authorities to give us a better location. This was one of those times you see God’s hand, after the fact. With this new position we were right in front of the White House. We held our banners in the best location outside the White House lawn and we had the liberty to use the mega horns for hours. At one point I was informed that in a few minutes, we were going to move again and we did, not just us but everyone from that area. The President and Laura were out on the lawn and welcomed the children to the White House, so everyone was moved for about 30-45 minutes. If someone were to shoot the President, the location would have been where we were standing.RevJK stood off to the side by some trees and blasted with the truth-horn.
After the first couple were inside, we walked back to our location (in front of the White House) and continued to preach with banners up as the media stood around asking questions. With six of us, the preaching was continual as others talked with those walking behind us or standing around. It was a blessing to hear each man preach with passion and conviction in the rain for hours.
Before the event was over, Ben and I headed out to get our vehicles, leaving the others preaching. And what did we bump into you asked? There was an all-black parade just blocks away from the White House.Sooooooo lets see, there are people on the sidewalk, a parade, and a small section of black dignitaries seated, and what’s missing?A banner and a preacher.Ben and I set up the only banner we had with us and I walked the route till stopped right by the seated dignitaries. After I was put on the sidewalk, I preached to the crowd standing around and was confronted by an officer that put me back in the street.
At the end of the day, the Father was proclaimed in public, with sin exposed and the remedy given. The tradition of male and female was preached at this untraditional event, with the media used to amply the message beyond the White House lawn.
Congress Asked to Restore Free Speech to Houses of Worship
The Houses of Worship Free Speech Restoration Act,
A bill to restore First amendment protections for
religious leaders was reintroduced in the House today.
HR 235, the Houses of Worship Free speech Restoration Act,
was introduced by Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C. It would allow
preachers to educate their congregations on moral and
political issues without risk of losing their tax-exempt
status.
"Under the current tax code, houses of worship risk losing
their tax-exempt status if they engage in any activity
that might be perceived as partisan voter education," said
Lanier Swann, director of government relations for
Concerned women of America. "As a result, religious
leaders have been restricted in their ability to educate
their congregations on moral and political issues like
same-sex 'marriage' and abortion during a campaign season
due to the threat of penalties by the Internal Revenue
Service (IRS)."
Swann pointed out that the intention of separation of
church and state stemmed from the desire to keep the state
out of the church, not the church out of the state.
"The hope was to ensure freedom of religion," Swann said,
"not freedom from religion."
